The FDA recognizes the increasing interest in CBD’s potential to treat a variety of medical conditions, however, they have not approved marketing CBD as a treatment for any disease or condition. Nor has the FDA reviewed data from clinical trials to support the efficacy and safety for the various therapeutic uses for which CBD is used.


Advertisers making claims about alleged health effects of CBD products need sound science to support their claims. For example, if a vendor wants to market a CBD pain cream, the product must contain an ingredient approved by the FDA for pain support, such as menthol or camphor


CBD must be derived from the hemp plant since marijuana plants are illegal. Hemp legally cannot contain more than 0.3% THC.

Follow these steps to get your product approved!

Step one

Testing

Vendors who want to onboard hemp based products, containing CBD need a Certificate of Analysis from Santé Labs for each product to verify legal limits of THC.

Step two

Label Image

A high-resolution, full color PDF copy of the product label (preferably the proofs used by the manufacturer).

Step three

Partner Contact Information

Name, address, and website URL for the manufacturer and fulfillment partners.

Step four

Legal Company Name

Legal name and address of the company who owns the products.
